Shoegaze Fetish YouTubing

Lush were known as a Shoegazer band and rightfully so, especially based on their earlier work - Scar EP and Spooky LP (produced by Cocteau Twins - Robin Guthrie). Distorted walls of sound and Emma Anderson's beautiful vocals riding above the mix, this was Lush. The video below is from their 1994 Split LP which had Lush doing a more rocking, 'jagged' sound than the earlier classic shoegaze noise. Hypocrite is a classic track nonetheless and the video is fairly decent quality.

The Drop Nineteens were Shoegazers from the US (Boston) and Winona is a classic from their 1992 album Delaware. The track stands the test of time since it was the first indie rock homage song to actress Winona Ryder.
